LEANNE KNOWLES – CEO
Workshop Facilitator & Coach

Leanne is a master strategist who established her first successful retail and service business at the age of 24.  For the past 16 years she has been consulting and coaching Board directors, CEOs and business owners and their teams in business development, sales, marketing, publicity, team productivity and growth.  She has more than 1800 hours experience as a Performance & Success Coach.

Since establishing Headswitch in January 2000, she has worked with major brands such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, Beacon Lighting, Playcorp, Priceline Pharmacy, Price Attack, House, APCO Service Stations, Anaconda Adventure Race Series, Telstra Shop, Penrith City Council, AFL EJ Whitten Legends Game, Skandia Geelong Week, Jon Dee’s Do Something! and Hawthorn Football Club.

Leanne was instrumental in overhauling the Corporate Marketing function at Hawthorn Football club in the late 1990’s and implementing leading edge sales, marketing and membership automation software and systems that helped set the club up for its first $1m+ profit year and a significant ongoing competitive advantage. She  co-created and delivered a sales and marketing strategy for a high profile IT start-up client and the business was sold 12 months later for $114m.  She helped another technology client generate $2m in additional sales over four weeks from one media release.

Leanne  has almost 3ooo skydives, and was one of Melbourne’s early pioneers of BASE jumping.  She has been a qualified Skydiving instructor and Level 2 Coach and remains a qualified Parachute Rigger.  She won a Silver Medal for Australia in Women’s Skydiving, multiple National Championships and is a former Australian Record holder.  She was awarded the Prime Minister’s Sport Australia Medal in 2000 for her achievements and she has been officially clocked at 386km in a Vertical Speed Competition.

Leanne served on the Board of Directors of the Australian Parachute Federation for ten years, the Board of Motorcycling Victoria for two years and is currently a Director of Motorcycling Australia, leading a cultural transformation of the sport and the organisation.  Leanne is Chair of MA’s Nominations and Remuneration Committee and also sits on the Finance & Risk Committee. She is a part of the organising committee for the Australian Motor Sport Hall of Fame.

Leanne has a Business Degree (Sport Management) from Deakin University and is an NLP Practitioner.  She is accredited in the use of DISC Behaviours, Workplace Motivators and Emotional Intelligence coach diagnostic tools and is a Certified NLP Practitioner.  She also has five years intensive training in transformational communication, management and leadership.
